2nd editing: Thanks everyone for the support and comments… I guess I was a bit of a poo last night when I posted this… nagging and bitching like an old fart, but after some sleep and brake from the PC I went back to edit the colors a bit and add further touchups, now I can say it’s a tad closer to what I wanted… sometimes the most minute touches can make a load of diff.
So yes! I’m better now … so sorry you all had to get a hint of the “Dark Nat”… How lucky you are to be miles away behind a screen and not in the same room with me . Now I have to quit fooling around and get to work!
You complain, but it's a beautiful drawing. I like the way the darkness makes him stick out that much more, and how he illuminates his surroundings. Looks good.

Thank you... *manages crooked grin* It's just that it's 3:00 in the morn., i'm tiered, sad... loaded with lots of work I just don't want to bother with right now... so nag nag nag nag nag nag nag nag nag nag nag nag......
When people with your kind of talent/skill start complaining about sucking I want to hurt things. Mainly the idea behind it. However, on the other end of the spectrum is the fact that nobody will ever be a good artist without self-critisism, since that'll always make you strive to get better. So in that vein, it's an admirable treat, if not very pleasant to those involved.
Ahem. Now, to the drawing. I be floored, my good lady. You make Jak, heck, the whole setting look so much more realistic, and still there is that real feeling of Jak-ness. It's clean and beautiful, the lightning on the statue is gorgeus and you've managed to keep the wing's tentacle-ness somewhat intact while still making them look less kinky. ;D
It's beautiful.
I'm just left wondering where Daxter is, but knowing him he's probably standing on the statue's palm and refusing the first test flight *laughs*

You know you've read too much badfic when:
"You start thinking about the slashyness of your brother and his best friend."

Hey, don't look at me, I love a good slash fic >_>
(And I don't have a brother.)
Amazing!!!!!!!!! Im not joking its the best peice of art i have seen. How did you create it did you Draw it by hand or on the computer or a bit of both??
Though I AM arrogant as hell (yet disgustingly honest), I seriously mean no wise-ass-ness when I take myself to pieces: I complain because I CAN do better than this and feel very frustrated when so much effort and time (and god my time is SO little and precious) had been spent on something that in the end did not meet my enthusiasm… I rate my own work according to my own standards… and this one is one big BROWN piece of gooey brown… erh… you know what.
But you guys are giving lots o nice comments, fueling my motivation and are already making me feel so much better… maybe in the far future I’ll remake this one… ‘cuz really what’s stuck in my head looks way better
I must say, this is the most beautiful piece of Jak fanart; and deffinately the best of all the Light Jak ones I always was more for Light Jak rather than Dark Jak though The lighting is beautiful and just...everything is done so prefectly o_o Heyhey! when I grow up (as if that'll ever happen) I wanna be able to draw like you! Makes me want to go back to actually drawing Jak again
i beg to differ i think this is a wonderful piece. i love the wings. you actualy draw them the way they are. a lot of people like to think theres some sort of membrane or something in between the wings, so they draw lines connecting them. drives me up the wall. i can agree with you on never drawing light jak again. i did it once, in colored penicl. strait out HELL. came out tolerable but it killed 2 white colored pencils and about knocked off everyone of my blues as well. and prismas arent cheep. but as for the consept of this, wonderful.
Oh god.. I don't care what you say, this picture is abso-freakin-lutely GORGEOUS!!! I LOVE the perspective you've drawn it from and how graceful Light Jak looks. And the glow he's giving off... so pretty T_T And by the way, THANK YOU for making his wings so much more amazing than they look in the game I'm so glad somebody gave them a more aesthetic touch. Awesome. Now.. aside from this picture just being complete eye candy, I am also very much in love with Light Jak. ESPECIALLY 'cause he can fly So this is like.. the most perfect Jak picture I've every seen You are amazing
